Technician - SMT
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SMT Technician to join our electronics manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting SMT lines to ensure efficient and high-quality PCB assembly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and screen printers.
- Perform machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments according to production plan.
- Conduct visual inspections and operate AOI and SPI machines to ensure solder quality and component placement accuracy.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on SMT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair SMT line issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate checklist and maintenance records.
- Work closely with SMT engineer and QC teams to implement process improvements.
- Follow all safety, ESD, and quality control procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in SMT or PCB assembly (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Familiarity with SMT machines such as DEK, ASM, Koh Young etc.
- Ability to read and understand PCB assembly drawings and component placement files.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work shifts.
